Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes avoids serious injury in a car crash ahead of the Liverpool match.
Star midfielder of Manchester United Bruno Fernandes was recently involved in a car crash. The Portugues footballer managed to avoid any serious injuries in the accident while driving his Porsche.
Ralf Rangnick, Interim manager of Manchester United, provided an update on the midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, on April 18, 2022. Fernandes suffered from a car accident on his way to training on April 15.
Bruno Fernandes has been an important part of the Manchester United squad since he arrived from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020. His contract was recently extended to 2026 at the beginning of April. Owing to his new deal, he will be making upwards of Euro 2,50,000 per week.
In the 2021-22 Premier League season, Bruno Fernandes has played 30 Premier League matches , scoring nine goals and six assists.
At a pre-match conference at Carrington, Ralf Rangnick said, "The accident happened on the way to Carrington, but as far as I know, nobody was injured. He trained with the team and he was okay, and that's why I think he will also be ok for tomorrow (vs Liverpool)."
He further confirmed the absence of five players from Manchester United for the upcoming match against Liverpool at Anfield. Edinson Cavani, Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw, Fred and Raphael Varane are currently injured and have all missed the previous two matches. Raphael Varane was on the training pitch with one of the rehab coaches.
While talking about injured players, Ralf Rangnick said, "But concerning injured players, we have the same situation that we had in the last two games."
It has been confirmed that Bruno Fernandes avoided any serious injuries and took part in Manchester United’s training session on April 18 and is fit to play in the next match against Liverpool. However, it will be a tough match for Manchester United, considering five of their key players are currently off the squad.
The Red Devils will clash with Liverpool in a Premier League match on April 19, 2022.
