Manchester United join Borussia Dortmund in pursuit of Wolfsburg's Felix Nmecha - report
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly eyeing a move for Wolfsburg's Felix Nmecha as they seek to replace Jude Bellingham.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly eyeing Wolfsburg's Felix Nmecha as a potential replacement for Jude Bellingham, who is set to join Real Madrid.

However, the attacking midfielder has also captured the attention of Manchester United.

Renowned German journalist Patrick Berger from SPORT1 reveals that Dortmund are keen on securing Nmecha's signature. Within Signal Iduna Park, the young talent is regarded as the perfect successor to Bellingham. However, United have now entered the fray, engaging in discussions with Nmecha's father.

According to Berger, the allure of the Premier League holds great appeal for Nmecha. Born in Hamburg, the VfL Wolfsburg player grew up in England and previously featured for Manchester City's youth team.

Under the guidance of coach Pep Guardiola, Nmecha made a noteworthy contribution to Manchester City's Champions League campaign, assisting Kevin de Bruyne in a resounding 3-0 victory over Olympiacos. After his release by City in 2021, the 22-year-old swiftly found a new home at Wolfsburg.

The budding midfielder also earned his debut for the German national team, showcasing his potential in a friendly against Belgium earlier this year. Throughout his time in Germany, Nmecha's stature and reputation have grown significantly. In the previous season, he impressively notched up three goals and six assists in the league.

Berger further discloses that a transfer fee of €15 million would be sufficient to entice Wolfsburg into parting ways with their prized player. Currently in rehabilitation in Portugal, Nmecha is diligently recovering from an ankle injury that has temporarily sidelined him.
