Pep Guardiola's team beat Liverpool by one point to win the Premier League title for 2021/22. They have won the league title in four of their five previous campaigns.

Manchester City has not wasted any time improving their squad for next season. They have signed a deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign Haaland.

Marc Cucurella of Brighton & Hove Albion has also linked with the Premier League champions. Al Mubarak insists that Manchester City's team must be "stronger" this summer.

As they reached their highest Premier League finish, the Spaniard has already been a fixture in Brighton's top players. Manchester City is believed to be testing Brighton by submitting a £30 Million bid as Oleksandr Zinchenko is on his with a way out.

It is no secret that Manchester City strengthens every season, and with their mega-rich owners, they certainly have the means to do it. They've wasted no time bringing in a long-term striker after failing to replace Sergio Aguero during the last two seasons.

Haaland is coming from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £51.2m, and Alvarez will join River Plate after a £14.1m payment is received. But they aren't finished yet, as Khaldoon Al Mubarak confirmed that there would be "a couple more" signings this summer.

"I can confirm that there will be more players coming in," Mubarak said. "We are looking to strengthen the team in the areas that we need strengthening. As you know, every season, some players leave, and then we have to continuously refresh the team."

"Again, we will always look at improving and strengthening. I think we've made two very important additions already, but I anticipate we'll be doing a couple more," Mubarak continued.

"We'll try to go as fast as we can, but you know how the market goes. It's not always entirely in our control."

    Manchester City needs a revamp

Manchester City might be done with the Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez deal, but they aren't stopping there.

They are currently looking for at least one player in the midfield but could also be interested in a full-back to help keep the Blues ahead of Liverpool to be the best team on the continent and in the country.

According to reports, Manchester City is still looking at Marc Cucurella and Kalvin Phillips.

Fernandinho has been a great player for nine seasons, and Manchester City is now looking to Phillips as a potential replacement.

A move to Manchester City has been strongly linked to the Leeds United star, who has impressed since being promoted to the Premier League with The Peacocks.

As they prepare for both Phillips and Raphinha's summer camps, it is possible that Leeds United could ask for £50 Million for the midfielder.

Leeds United maintained their Premier League status, while Burnley was relegated. This is likely to make things more complicated.

Manchester City is aiming for the European title.

Despite being consistently dominant in England, and winning four Premier League titles in five seasons, Manchester City struggles in Europe as they chase that elusive Champions League crown. To break the curse, they will need a lot more quality.

As Mubarak pointed out, the club aspires to win the Champions League every year, and their desperate desire to win the competition may influence their summer activities.

Mubarak said, "We approach every season to try to win every competition."

"That has been the case for the last 10 years. You cannot argue in the last six years under Pep; we show up every game with the full intention to try to win," he continued.
