Lionel Messi will play alongside a familiar face at Inter Miami.

Inter Miami have secured the signing of Barcelona veteran Sergio Busquets. </p>
<p>
The 34-year-old announced last May he would leave the La Liga champions following an 18-year spell at the club. </p>
<p>
Busquets will now join former teammate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami after putting pen to paper on a deal with the MLS outfit. </p>
<p>
Messi confirmed his move to Florida last month following his exit from Ligue 1 side PSG. </p>
<p>
Busquets played alongside the Argentine for 13 seasons at the Camp Nou from 2008 to 2021. </p>
<p>
Together, the duo won numerous Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey titles. </p>
<p>
Busquets is one of the most accomplished players in Barcelona's history, making 722 appearances across all competitions. </p>
<p>
In announcing his departure, Barcelona described the midfielder as "one of the best players ever to represent the club". </p>
<p>
Busquets retired from international football last December. During his career, the player won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship with Spain. </p>
