Leeds United transfer news: PSG, Real Madrid, Villa and Brighton eyeing Rodrigo

Leeds United forward Rodrigo Moreno is attracting interest from PSG, Brighton and Aston Villa, according to reports, while Real Madrid are also rumoured to be monitoring his situation.

    Rodrigo. Rodrigo.

Leeds United's Rodrigo Moreno is attracting interest from PSG, Brighton and Aston Villa according to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Spanish international joined the club back in August 2020 for a reported fee of £27million but now enters the last year of his contract next season.

Whilst speaking to the Leeds United Ultras YouTube channel, Jacobs revealed: "There is an opportunity for clubs to get a bargain.

"He is being looked at by a variety of clubs, PSG are one to watch, I'm told Villa are watching his situation very closely. Brighton are on the lookout. It is hard to see Rodrigo staying."

Rodrigo managed 13 goals across 31 appearances in the Premier League last season with that being his highest goal tally in his third season in England.

Despite his best efforts, Leeds were relegated on the last day of the season after a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Rodrigo is currently on international duty with Spain and started in their 2-1 win over Italy in the UEFA Nations League, where they will meet Croatia in the final.

In an interview with La Razon, the former Valenica man spoke about how he is going to 'wait and see what happens' when asked about the rumours linking him with a move away from Elland Road.

In the last week, Spanish media reported that Rodrigo could even make the switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The Leeds United squad are set to return for pre-season in early July and will find out their opening EFL Championship fixtures next Thursday.

Whether or not Rodrigo will still be a Leeds United player by then remains a mystery but with his contract expiring in the summer of 2024 it does not look likely.
