Ronald Araujo, the Uruguayan defender, has revealed that he has turned down multiple offers to depart from Barcelona, emphasizing his unwavering dedication to the club despite the lingering uncertainties surrounding his contract.

Although the 24-year-old has reached an agreement on a contract extension until 2026, La Liga has yet to officially register it due to the financial challenges faced by Barcelona.

Speaking in an interview with The Athletic, Araujo expressed confidence that the matter would be resolved expeditiously and expressed contentment with his current situation, even acknowledging that he could potentially earn a higher salary elsewhere.

"I remain composed. These are matters handled by my representatives and the club. Internally, the club has conveyed the same tranquillity and assured me that everything will be sorted soon," assured Araujo.

"I have demonstrated my satisfaction and commitment by renewing my contract. That is the essence. I believe these issues will be resolved," added Araujo.

Highlighting his allegiance to Barcelona, Araujo affirmed, "I have rejected significant offers, some surpassing what I receive here. Nonetheless, my happiness lies here. I have received immense love, and this feels like home. That's what matters most."

Barcelona faces an eventful summer transfer window, aiming to finalize registrations for Araujo and Gavi. Additionally, the club intends to secure new deals with Alejandro Balde, Ousmane Dembele, and Lamine Yamal while reinforcing the squad's strength.
