Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt has secured the services of goalkeeper Kevin Trapp until 2026, with an option to extend for an additional year.
Trapp, who has been with the club for several years, expressed his joy at the new contract, saying: "Everyone knows how much this club means to me and that I feel at home in Frankfurt. I am happy that I will continue to be a part of the Eintracht family."
"We have already experienced a lot together and still have a lot to do," added Trapp.
"The club's ambitions are one hundred percent the same as mine and I'm eager to continue giving my all for Eintracht Frankfurt."
Eintracht's board member for sport, Markus Krosche, praised Trapp, calling him "an absolute figure of identification" who "represents Eintracht Frankfurt like hardly anyone else."
Krosche also emphasized Trapp's impact on the club, stating: "His outstanding goalkeeping and personality make him an indispensable part of our team and our club.
"From my point of view, we now have the best German goalkeeper between our posts in the long term. That makes us proud."
