The hosts were leading in the starting minutes of the match, thanks to Daniel Chima Chukwu and Boris Singh Thangjam. Within 10 minutes, Jamshedpur was leading by two goals.

The Red Miners sprung back into the game with a brace by Diego Mauricio. He also scored the winner, while substitute Isaac Chhakchhuak netted the remaining goal.

The match didn't begin on time due to unacceptable weather conditions, but Jamshedpur FC was unfazed and focused. Three minutes boosted their spirits as Daniel Chukwu's left footer touched the net.

He converted a rebound when Thoiba Singh blocked Ricky Lallawmawma's low cross from the left flank. By the tenth minute, Odisha doubled their lead.

Once again, it was Lallawmawma sending off a low cross from the left flank. The ball reached Boris Singh, who managed to tap in at the far post. The Juggernauts came closer seven minutes later through Diego Mauricio, positioned at the edge of the box.

Raynier Fernandes made the assist, and Mauricio had tremendous space to convert.

Some missed opportunities in the match

Jamshedpur's Farukh Choudhary darted towards the box across the left flank and sent a cross to Wellington Priori. However, the Brazilian's attempt at scoring was blocked by goalkeeper Amrinder Singh.

A few minutes later, Odisha forward Jerry Mawihmingthanga went into the box from the right flank and seized the ball using his left foot. However, he was a few inches short of making the expected strike through the top-left corner.

In the 67th minute, Jamshedpur FC goalkeeper Rehenesh TP made a brilliant save when Spanish substitute Pedro Martin attempted a goal, and the Jamshedpur defence searched for an offside flag.

Odisha FC and Jamshedpur FC were expected to set up a tie

The match ended in a draw with two minutes of stoppage time added. Odisha FC substitutes Isak Vanlalruatfela and Isaac Chhakchhuak held a strong partnership on the right flank.

Vanlalruatfela set up a ball for Chhakchhuak, who sent it past the goalkeeper. The third goal of the night is credited to Vanlalruatfela again as the 21-year-old provided a terrific assist to Diego Mauricio, who struck his second goal of the night, earning a win for Odisha FC.

Odisha FC's next opponent is Mumbai City, as they face each other at the Mumbai Football Arena on October 15. Jamshedpur FC will compete against Mumbai on October 22.
