Former Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett joins Rotherham on short-term deal
Rotherham have announced the signing of defender Tyler Blackett on a deal until the end of the season.
<p>The 28-year-old joins the Sky Bet Championship side on a free transfer after leaving MLS side Cincinnati in November. </p>
The former Manchester United player is vastly experienced in the second tier, making over 100 appearances for Reading between 2016 and 2020 before signing for Nottingham Forest for the 2020-21 season.
Blackett told Rotherham's website: "With the injuries in the squad right now it seemed like a good time to step in and help out."
Injury-hit Rotherham sit 18th but have won two of their last three matches and face a trip to Birmingham on Saturday.
Rotherham are currently 18th in the Championship and sit eight points above the bottom three.
<p>Matt Taylor's men are unbeaten in three league games and they will be looking to continue that run when they take on Birmingham this weekend.</p>
