Football's best free agents at the end of the 2022 season
Some of the top football players in the European Leagues are preparing to leave their clubs for nothing as they are approaching the end of their contracts in the summer
The list of players who will be going into the transfer window as free agents include Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele, Gareth Bale, and Kylian Mbappe.
Paul Pogba has signed a one-year extension with Manchester United ahead of the current season. His stay at Old Trafford was rife with injuries and inconsistent form. The French midfielder has expressed his desire to look for a new challenge at a different club.
His former club Juventus, Spanish giants Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain F.C, have shown interest in signing Paul Pogba.
Ousmane Dembele Team: Barcelona
Ousmane Dembele's contract with Barcelona is about to end this summer, leading to reports of a potential exit. However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is dead set on trying to retain the French forward, even stating that Dembele is way better than Kylian Mbappe.
Joan Laporta said, "We have a good relationship with Dembele. He wants to stay. We also wish him because he is a great player,
Ousmane Dembele has also expressed his desire to stay with Barcelona. But the ongoing negotiations between the representatives of Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona management have not reached an understanding.
Gareth Bale Team: Real Madrid
Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid in 2013 in a deal that broke all records of a transfer fee in English football. His nine-year stint in the Spanish capital is coming to an end after nine exciting years.
The Welsh forward has not had a very positive relationship with the Real Madrid squad and its fans. His agent Jonathan Barnett commented, "It's not essential; I don't care what they think. I don't care about real Madrid fans. Why should I care? I think the fans treated him disgustingly.
Gareth Bale spent the 2020-21 season on loan with the Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Therefore, the London-based club will likely try to negotiate a deal.
Kylian Mbappe Team: Paris Saint-Germain
Kylian Mbapee is undoubtedly one of the best attackers of the current generation. He has spent the last five years at the French club, finishing as the Ligue-1 top scorer for four seasons. However, it is still being speculated whether he will extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain as, according to recent reports, Real Madrid has been trying to acquire his services.
Juan Mata Team: Manchester United
Juan Mata signed a one-year extension with Manchester United ahead of the current season. The Spanish midfielder expressed his desire to stay at Old Trafford in 2021. Juan Mata said, "When you play your first match, you feel like you are in a new beginning, an exciting moment in your life playing for this club. I do not want to stop here. I want to keep going and going and keep adding games in a United shirt.
Juan Mata will be available for a free transfer in the 2022 summer. It has been confirmed that Manchester United has not offered an extension to Juan Mata, leaving him to look for a new challenge.
