Football News: Tyler Adams to move from RB Leipzig to Leeds United
Tyler Adams will reach England to complete his transfer from RB Leipzig to Leeds United. After Leeds and Leipzig agreed on his proposed move to the Premier League, the midfielder could be in Elland Road by the end of this week
Negotiations between the clubs moved to an advanced stage yesterday, allowing Leeds to begin preparing a physical and making arrangements to complete the formalities of a £20 million switch.
The midfielder is on his way to Elland Road as part of the Whites' summer purchasing spree.
RB Leipzig coach Dominic Tedesco has approved Tyler Adams' transfer to Leeds United. Still, the Bundesliga leader says "it kills to say goodbye" to the US men's national team star.
It reunites Tyler Adams with former Leipzig manager Jesse Marsch and USMNT teammate Brendan Aaronson as he seeks more game time after a restricted role in Leipzig.
Tyler Adams will now play for Leeds for the third time club in his career, having worked with Jesse Marsch at RB Leipzig and the New York Red Bulls.
Adams had made 75 Bundesliga appearances for Leipzig in four years but was no longer a vital member of the club's plans and had been made available in this window.
He is to become Leeds' fourth senior signing of the summer, joining Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi.
