Football News: Real Madrid stops signings after roping in Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger
Several top French talents have joined Real Madrid, including AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who signed a six-year contract for around €80 million
Despite being tracked by Liverpool and Europe's elite clubs, Tchouameni was always set on joining Real Madrid.
The Champions League winners splashed a large amount of money on a player who might be one of this generation's best midfielders after Kylian Mbappe chose Paris Saint-Germain over Real Madrid.
Putting an end to the business, for now, is the signing of Antonio Rudiger as a free agent before investing €100 million (£85m/$107m) into Aurelien Tchouameni.
When asked about further recruitment, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said, "For the moment, we have stopped. Now we have to see what players leave."
Although there was interest in calling Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, the World Cup-winning forward rejected advances from Spain and signed a new contract with the French title holders.
According to reports, Real Madrid will not re-enter the market in summer 2022 unless there is a better opportunity. They will not spend a lot on further additions. Instead, they will focus their attention on contract matters.
Vinicius Junior will be next to receive terms at Santiago Bernabeu. Eder Militao could also be recognized for his contribution to the cause.
Dani Ceballos and Marco Asensio will also be offered new terms as they continue to work on deals until 2023. However, if there are no agreements, potential buyers will be sought for the Spain international.
Real Madrid is also focused on renewals and moving on any deemed surplus
Luka Jovic, Mariano Diaz, and Jesus Vallejo currently occupy this particular pool. However, finding takers for them is difficult because they don't get enough game time.
Why aren't Real Madrid looking for more signings?
Real Madrid moved quickly to secure deals for Rudiger and Tchouameni. Carlo Ancelotti was preparing to add them to the squad that won the Champions League crown in 2021-22.
Real Madrid is happy with its senior ranks, and they are ready to start the 2022-23 campaign together with all of those who are available.
The Spanish giants currently plan to wait until January before re-evaluating transfer options.
This is because the mid-season World Cup is included in the equation as some of the best talents on the planet will be heading to Qatar in November.
Real Madrid has used that shop window to bring players such as Brazil's striker Ronaldo and Germany's playmaker Mesut Ozil. They also brought Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who was impressed at FIFA's flagship event.
This is why Ancelotti's squad of players will be evaluated in the first half of the new campaign. Then, decisions about whether to bolster during the winter window will be made.
Why Real Madrid should sign a third player in 2022
Real Madrid's right-wing problems were evident for most of the 2021/22 season, but Rodrygo found his groove and finished the season with an excellent finish.
The 21-year-old Brazilian hasn't proven to do it consistently throughout the season. However, good competition can help him push further.
Marco Asensio's future is uncertain, and his performances aren't up to par, so we can't expect him to be a strong competitor to Rodrygo, who is yet to establish himself as a regular starter at Real Madrid.
If Asensio is unable to continue with the club. In that case, Rodrygo's only competition might be Eden Hazard (who would need to play out of position) and Lucas Vazquez (who has the potential to become a rotational option).
Real Madrid must identify the right-wing target and sign him
