Football News: Options for Cristiano Ronaldo after exiting from Manchester United
Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has played his last match for the Red Devils and is now a free agent due to his controversial interview with Piers Morgan
The Portuguese forward has severed ties with Old Trafford, as announced by the club. The five-time Ballon D'Or winner is no longer a Manchester United player, as stated by the club.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future," read the statement.
It further said: "Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team's progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch."

Unfortunately, his demand has decreased with time, so the list of clubs interested in the player could be shorter than expected. His pay scale and ageing have slowed down his professional life.
Cristiano Ronaldo reiterated the announcement made by Manchester United and added, "I love Manchester United, and I love the fans; that will never change. However, it is the right time for me to seek a new challenge."
"I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future," he signed off. Here, we have listed the potential clubs that could sign him.
Sporting CP
Cristiano Ronaldo could return to his boyhood club after surviving a difficult season at Old Trafford. Although the Liga Nos club may not be able to cover his wage demands, the Portuguese might be comfortable making a few compromises for a chance to compete in his home country again.
Chelsea
Chelsea's new owner Todd Boehly had shown interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo, and the American had been in touch with Cristiano Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes in the same regard.
Considering the Blues' persistent struggle in the frontline, they might rely on Cristiano Ronaldo to bolster their attacking lineup. However, the club is known for showing interest in younger players, so there might be better options than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Inter Miami
Owned by David Beckham, the MLS club could sign Cristiano Ronaldo and provide him with a secure space before he eases into the twilight of his career.
Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham has addressed the possibility of snapping up Cristiano Ronaldo. The former has a big say in purchases and transfers as the franchise owner.
However, Miami is also reportedly interested in signing Lionel Messi.
Real Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo was at the peak of his career in Real Madrid, winning four Champions League trophies over eight years spent there. The La Liga side is going strong but needs reinforcements now that their star forwards, Karim Benzema, is out with an injury. Cristiano Ronaldo also worked with Ancelotti in Madrid between 2013 and 2015.
