Football News: Manchester United want to resolve the Moises Caicedo error
Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Moises Caicedo. They were linked with the Ecuadorian even before he moved to Brighton
They could have bought the midfielder, but he rejected the deal when negotiations with his representatives brewed trouble.
The Seagulls persisted and ultimately landed Caicedo, who has been in good form since he joined Graham Potter's first team.
United is among an extensive list of teams that want the 20-year-old, including Arsenal and West Ham. Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing the youngster outside the Premier League.
To whisk Caicedo away from Brighton, a club would be bound to spend considerably more than the £4.5million the Seagulls paid.
Ronaldo's transfer plans are on hold
United have denied rumours surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from the club, and his contract gets over in a year. However, they seem open to offers for the 37-year-old.
Ronaldo's observed conduct at Old Trafford costs the club its peace, and the Portugal star is desperate to leave. However, none of the clubs is willing to make an offer.
In addition, both Inter and AC Milan have dismissed the possibility of signing Real Madrid and Juve forward.
Chelsea needs to increase their bid
Among other clubs, Chelsea was also linked with Ronaldo, but Thomas Tuchel convinced Todd Boehly to reconsider his choices, and a potential bid was called off.
However, the Blues still need a striker, and Tuchel is keen on the possibility of landing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the squad. Aubameyang might require a stronger proposition to say yes.
Reports have stated that the striker prefers to stay and fight for his place at Barcelona after the Catalans rejected a bid from Chelsea in the region of £ 12 million.
Barcelona might take up the offer if Boehly makes a few adjustments to suit the club's needs. That includes offering £23million for a player that took a free transfer to the Spanish side.
Barcelona target Manchester United right-backs
Barca could better use the money earned from selling players, such as paying off their debts. However, the Catalans would rather spend it on more signings.
Now, Barcelona is looking to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot. The list also has the likes of Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong, Thomas Meunier of Borussia Dortmund, and Villarreal's Juan Foyth, who could potentially join the club.
