Football News: Is Kylian Mbappe finally leaving PSG?
Kylian Mbappe will likely stay back in Paris Saint-Germain F.C. after the January transfer window against his wishes. He is unhappy about the recent summer transfer, his current position at the club, and his relationship with Neymar
PSG want to establish how there is "zero chance" of Kylian Mbappe departing in January. Mbappe and other sources claim that PSG created fake social media accounts to attack him through a communications agency.
The club responded: "Paris Saint-Germain completely and totally denies the claims of media part. The club has never contracted with an agency to undermine any person or institution."
They additionally offered to investigate the matter but clarified that the violator should be held accountable and interrogated. Reports suggest that the French forward wants to leave.
Why is Kylian Mbappe unhappy at PSG?
PSG Kylian Mbappe functions as a central striker and disapproves of the methods used by new head coach Christophe Galtier. His relationship with Neymar has not been seamless.
Mbappe had expected Neymar to leave the club soon enough, but the Brazilian has been thriving alongside Lionel Messi. It has reportedly resulted in a clash of egos between the two players.
In August's 5-2 victory against Montpellier Herault SC, Neymar took a penalty kick after Mbappe missed a spot-kick in the initial minutes of the match. The France international didn't celebrate the penalty scored by the Brazilian player.
Neymar's expected departure was curtailed because there was no suitor available. The Brazil international doubled his efforts this season with nine goals across all competitions.
However, their interaction in Tuesday's Champions League draw against S.L. Benfica showed they were on good terms. Mbappe found the back of the net during the 1-1 clash at Parc des Princes as he scored a penalty in the 40th minute.
Other reports state that the Frenchman is disappointed at the flakiness shown by the club. PSG placed a new deal with changes in the strategy, and he feels the club didn't pull through.
According to rumours, the 23-year-old has been "betrayed" by the club due to some unfulfilled promises in the new deal signed in May.
The club had planned to sign a new central defender, and Mbappe was anticipating a centre-forward to join as well. The likes of Robert Lewandowski and Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca were among the players linked with PSG, but the signing never took place.
Moreover, he was supposed to be the centre of the team and the system exercised by Galtier. However, that is far from the current reality of the club.
Mbappe currently plays alongside Neymar and Lionel Messi in an all-star front three, but he has hinted that he does not like new coach Christophe Galtier's ways.
Kylian Mbappe's future destination?
Mbappe's options look limited as of now. After he declined the opportunity to take a free transfer to Real Madrid, the team refrained from spending £200m on Mbappe.
Another club that might be interested is Newcastle, which is currently sixth in the Premier League standings. We could even see Liverpool make a move for the player.
