Football News: Florentino Perez dismisses Cristiano Ronaldo in the viral video
When some Real Madrid fans requested him to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez responded bluntly
The Blancos president has responded to rumours linking the Manchester United striker to a return to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Fans questioned Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about Ronaldo as he was staying in a hotel in Helsinki for the club's UEFA Super Cup final victory against Eintracht Frankfurt.
During the viral video, one of the supporters said, "president, sign Cristiano" in the viral video, to which the 75-year-old joked about Ronaldo's age and replied: "Cristiano? Again? At 38 years old?"
Despite Ronaldo's nine good years in the Spanish city, Bernabeu chief Perez dismissed any possibility of a return.
Madrid is among the numerous clubs associated with Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. The Manchester United striker is rumoured to be looking for a route out of Old Trafford to continue playing Champions League games.
This summer, the Spanish giants have already signed Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco for £85 million and ex-Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer.
Furthermore, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Sporting CP have all distanced themselves from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, and a return to the Santiago Bernabeu appears to be off the table.
Ronaldo told Manchester United soon before pre-season began that he wished to leave the club if a reasonable offer' for his services came in. A few days later, it was disclosed that the Portuguese star would miss the start of pre-season due to "family obligations."
Ronaldo also came off the bench for Manchester United in their 2-1 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion at the season's opening weekend. Ronaldo will likely stay at Old Trafford until another team makes a deal for him.
Real Madrid, the forward's former club, appears to have ruled themselves out of signing him. When asked to 'sign Ronaldo,' Perez provided a brief and to-the-point response
