During a heated London derby, the two managers clashed several times.

The FA has charged Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte after they clashed during Tottenham's last-gasp tie with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Both coaches were shown the red card for their angry exchange at the usual post-match handshake.

Tuchel had reacted angrily earlier in the game as Conte celebrated Tottenham Hotspurs' first equaliser in front of the Chelsea bench.

Later, after Reece James had made it 2-1, the German would do the same, running down the touchline and seemingly securing all three points for the hosts. However, a header from Harry Kane in the 96th minute guaranteed that the spoils were shared.

Tuchel felt Kai Havertz was fouled in the buildup to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's second-half goal, and the two had previously clashed.

"Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have both been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3, following the Premier League fixture between Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 14 August 2022," FA wrote in a statement following the clash.

"It is alleged that the behaviour of both managers was improper following the end of the fixture. Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have until Thursday 18 August 2022 to provide their respective responses," the statement continued.

Tuchel was asked whether Taylor was a problem Today, and he replied: "Today? Absolutely."

In response to Chelsea fans' complaints about Taylor's past decisions against Chelsea, the head coach replied: "I don't think just some of the fans believe that. I can assure you the whole dressing room of us, every single person, thinks that.

"I can't understand how the first goal is not offside and I can't understand when a player is pulled by their hair, the other player stays on the pitch."

"Pull someone else's hair, stay on the pitch and attack the last corner. This is for me without any explanation and I don't want to accept it. Both goals should not stand and it's a fair result because we were brilliant and deserved to win. This is my point of view."

After the match, he concluded his press conference by saying: "I cannot coach but the referee can whistle the next game?"

Tuchel was already facing a touchline ban following the red card, but the FA may now take extra measures.

Similarly, Everton manager Frank Lampard was fined £30,000 in May for criticising the referee in the Merseyside derby last spring.
