Football News: Cristiano Ronaldo is not 'impressed' by Glazers in explosive interview criticising Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo went wild over the treatment of Manchester United in the past decade. According to him, the club has 'betrayed' him, and he is being ejected and has no regard for manager Erik ten Hag
Manchester United won their final match before the World Cup thanks to a classic United narrative: a late victory scored by the most recent player to emerge from their limitless supply of young talent.
It appeared to be when Alejandro Garnacho made his Premier League debut. Then, in the bright afterglow of that 2-1 victory against Fulham, there came an act of disloyalty that seemed deliberately meant for maximum impact.
Ronaldo blasted Ten Hag, the club, and former interim manager Ralf Rangnick in a conversation with broadcaster Piers Morgan.
"Not only the manager but the other two or three guys who are around the club. I felt betrayed. I don't care; people should listen to the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed. Some people didn't want me here, not only this year but last season too.
"The progress was zero. Since Sir Alex left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed. He knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be."
"He knows. Everyone knows. The people who don't see that. It's because they don't want to see; they are blind."
According to journalist Piers Brosnan, Ronaldo had more to say about the Glazers, and he is not thrilled with Manchester United's "ownership, structure, or devotion."
Cristiano Ronaldo lashes out at Erik Ten Hag
Cristiano Ronaldo has astonishingly revealed that he lacks respect for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag because he believes the Dutchman has not shown him any respect.
With his most recent inflammatory words, the United forward has undoubtedly ended any possibility of restoring his Old Trafford tenure.
"I don't have respect for him because he doesn't show respect for me. If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you," Ronaldo claimed. "If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you."
Ronaldo also attacked former United temporary manager Ralf Rangnick.
During the interview, Ronaldo also claimed he had never heard of former interim boss Rangnick before he was appointed caretaker manager last season. He criticized United for failing to advance between his 2009 departure to Real Madrid and his return in 2021.
After a three-year stint with Juventus, Ronaldo re-signed with Manchester United two summers ago after departing for Real Madrid in 2009.
He immediately impacted his return to Old Trafford by scoring 24 goals across all tournaments, demonstrating that the famous footballer still had world-class abilities.
As a result of a dispute with United manager Erik ten Hag, he has made very few appearances during the current season.
