Football News: Cristiano Ronaldo's explosive interview about Manchester United manager
Cristiano Ronaldo has shared his dissent against Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag in a controversial interview that has taken the media by storm
Ahead of his fifth and final appearance at the World Cup in Qatar, the Portuguese legend revealed the true nature of his problems at Old Trafford in a 90-minute interview with English-speaking head Piers Morgan.
In the soon-to-be-released interview, Ronaldo showed discontent about his treatment under ten Hag after his blockbuster return to his former club Manchester United.
Ronaldo is confident that the club wants to kick him out. "Not only the coach but another two or three guys [at the senior executive level] there around the club," he divulged.
The knowledge that he is unwanted in the club has betrayed him. "Listen, I don't care. People should listen to the truth," he quipped.
Ronaldo was suspended from the first team after he refused to be deployed as a late substitute against Tottenham Hotspur. For him, ten Hag's decision indicates how much he respects Ronaldo.
"I don't have respect for him because he doesn't show respect for me. If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you," the Portuguese shared.

Ronaldo returned to his former club after 12 seasons but was startled by the club's infrastructure. Areas like facilities, nutrition, and technology underwent zero improvements over the years, according to the 37-year-old.
"Since Sir Alex left (2013), I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed," he said. "I want the best for the club. This is why I came to Manchester United.
The shortcomings and lack of suitable infrastructure are the primary reasons they need to be in the top three. "I thought I would see different things, technology, infrastructure. Unfortunately, we see many things I'm used to seeing when I'm 21, 22, and 23. It surprised me a lot," he said.
Ronaldo almost signed for Manchester City before Sir Alex Ferguson convinced him to return to Old Trafford. Ronaldo followed his heart and took up the offer.
United finished sixth in the Premier League last year, and Ronaldo subsequently had a fallout with coach ten Hag, besides scoring just once in 10 league appearances this season.
He was set to leave Old Trafford in the preceding transfer window but failed to attract Europe's finest clubs due to his high salary and age. In addition, ten Hag at that time was unwilling to offload the player.
Ronaldo also criticised interim manager Ralf Rangnick, who took over as United's coach after spending years laying low. The Portuguese do not approve of their decision to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and hire Ralf Rangnick as the sporting manager.
"This guy is not even a coach!" said Ronaldo. "A big club like Manchester United bringing in a sporting director surprised not only me but all the world."
Lastly, Ronaldo responded to Wayne Rooney's comment about the former being an "unwelcome distraction" at the club. "I don't know why he criticises me so badly...probably because he finished his career and I'm still playing at a high level," he snapped.
Ronaldo was sidelined from the team for Manchester United that defeated Fulham in their last match before the World Cup. He could make a possible departure in the January transfer window.
