Football: Gossip for Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Manchester United
Rumor circulating that Ronaldo is planning to continue with Man Utd despite all the speculations unless Erik ten Hag wants otherwise
Sources say that Ronaldo has told his teammates that he would love to continue if the management feels the same way and wishes for him to stay at the club.
Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo's future is a bit unclear. Though some expect him to transfer, others hope the veteran will continue with ten Hag. While this incredible player has shown a terrific performance by scoring 24 goals in the last 37 appearances this season, his future remains uncertain. Despite his 24 goals, Manchester United failed to secure the Champion League trophy this season.
David Beckham also seems excited to have Ronaldo stay at Old Trafford. In his interview with Sky Sports, the legend said, "Obviously, Cristiano is one of the best players over the last 15 years with Leo. Hopefully, to see him staying on at United is important for the fans and important for him. We know how much United means to him." Beckham praises what Ronaldo is doing even at his age. He said that Ronaldo is scoring goals and creating, and that's precisely what he is good at.
Though some are spectating that with the arrival of ten Hag, the Portuguese star may have to make his exit. Though Beckham is hopeful that that may not be the case, many believe that it might result in the termination of his contract with the red devils.
In 2021, the Portuguese superstar signed a two-year contract with the reds. Despite their disappointing performance in the champions league, Ronaldo has hinted that he would want to continue at the club and bring back its glory. Moreover, his recent tweet thanking the fans for their support and telling the fans that their only goal is to bring glory back to the club points toward his willingness to stay in the team no matter what. Even when he signed the contract with Man United, he did not hesitate to tell his fans that he wished to continue even beyond 2023.
Though there are no clear reports on whether Ronaldo will continue at Old Trafford or make an exit, his conduct points toward the former. It remains to be seen whether the new manager would want to continue with the old and experienced legends or would aim to start with fresh talent.
