Football: Antoine Griezman to continue to play on loan at Atletico Madrid
t has been confirmed by Spanish news outlet MARCA that Antoine Griezmann is ready to continue his stay at Atletico Madrid even after the ongoing season. Despite his recent issues with the form, the club has complete confidence in the French forward.
Antoine Griezmann returned to Atletico Madrid Madrid in the summer of 2021 on loan for one year with an option to extend the loan for another year. An obligatory permanent transfer clause worth Euro 40 million, to be activated in 2023, was also included in the contract. However, the clause will only be valid if Antoine Griezman plays at least 50% of the matches in the ongoing and the 2022-23 football season.
