FIFA World Cup: Vincent Aboubakar's goal earns Cameroon victory over Brazil
The Cameroon team secured a 1-0 victory over Brazil in their final group-stage clash at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar.
Cameroon secured a fantastic victory over Brazil with a late goal, but their efforts will, unfortunately, go in vain as the three points earned were not enough to help them advance to the last 16
African giants Cameron finished in the third spot with four points from three group-stage matches, two behind Switzerland in the second spot.
Vincent Aboubakar, in the third minute of second-half injury time, was the lone goalscorer for Cameroon, while none of the Brazil players found the back of the net.
Brazil were the stronger team and dominated Cameroon throughout the match, but their attacker faltered with the finishing despite creating a plethora of opportunities.
Aboubakar helped Cameroon snatch the victory with a delightful header into the bottom corner of the net following Jerome Ngom Mbekeli’s cross.

However, Brazil are still finished at the top of the group despite finishing their group-stage campaign with a disappointing loss and the victory of Switzerland over Serbia.
Brazil and Switzerland are at the first and second spots with six points each, although the South American nation are at the top owing to their more significant goal difference.
