Luka Modric set a new international record during Croatia's World Cup match against Morocco in the early kickoff on Wednesday
In addition to winning three La Liga championships and five Champions League trophies with Real Madrid, Luka Modric has also previously made an impression on the international stage.
Despite Croatia's 4-2 defeat at the hands of France in the World Cup final in Moscow, due to Modric's World Cup heroics, he was still awarded the biggest prize in football that year.

Modric participated in the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 European Champonship competitions. His World Cup experiences have occurred in 2006, 2014, and 2018, with this most recent tournament possibly being Modric's last shot for a successful run at age 37.
Since Kaka edged out the famous pair to win the Ballon d'Or in 2007 for his accomplishments with AC Milan and Brazil, he became the first player not named Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to be voted as the top player.
Even with more than 150 international appearances under his belt, Modric is still going strong; during Croatia's 2022 World Cup opener versus Morocco, he broke an incredible milestone.
His age notwithstanding, he has nevertheless remained a crucial player for Real Madrid, helping the team win the Champions League and La Liga last year.
