Mitchell Duke's deft header halfway through the first half was enough to give the hard-working Socceroos a lead, and they held on for a memorable victory.
Denmark's World Cup campaign got a rocky start with a lacklustre 0-0 draw against Tunisia. Against France, they showed some improvement but were ultimately undone by two goals from Kylian Mbappe. Denmark put up a good fight, but in the end, they were outclassed by the French and can't say they deserved anything more than a 2-1 loss.

Australia needs to win their game to progress, but a draw would also suffice if Tunisia doesn't beat France in the other game. If Denmark loses, they will be eliminated, but a Tunisia win would need goal difference, goals scored or even a fair play record to separate them.
