    Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City)

Nicolas Otamendi has been an outstanding defender, although he was susceptible to occasional disasters. The only players to have made more appearances under Pep Guardiola are John Stones, Gerard Pique, and Carles Puyol. Otamendi has won two Premier League titles and seven domestic trophies over five seasons at the Etihad, besides being nominated for a PFA Team of the Year.

Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City, West Ham)

The right-back wholeheartedly invested in the club and spent nine years there. He made 333 appearances and was vital in City's transition into becoming one of the best teams on the continent. He won every domestic trophy before departing in 2017 and then shifted to West Ham and became the South American with the most Premier League appearances ever.

    Javier Mascherano (West Ham, Liverpool)

The Argentina midfielder half-heartedly moved to West Ham in 2006, leaving the club only to join Liverpool. Rafael Benitez quipped that none of Liverpool's midfielders (not Steven Gerrard nor Xabi Alonso) possesses Mascherano's quality despite the pair being more creative and dangerous in attack than the Argentine who delivered spectacular assists. He departed only to become Barcelona's starting centre-back winning five league championships and two Champions League titles.

Carlos Tevez (West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City)

Tevez's Premier League journey took off with West Ham, where he saved the club from relegation but then moved to Manchester United even though Hammers claimed the rights to his contract. However, due to the lack of clarity on his future, besides being benched for the most part, he joined Manchester City. In December 2010, 18 months after joining City, Tevez handed in a transfer request, but City was unhappy about his decision and claimed the rights over the player. He stayed at City for four years before entering Juventus. He scored 114 goals in England and bagged nine trophies, including a Premier and Champions League double, besides clinching a shared Golden Boot in 2011.

    Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Aguero is considered one of the greatest scorers, having scored 260 goals, and now is fourth-ranked in the all-time Premier League list. He secured double figures for goals in every campaign, but his injury curbed his growth at some point. However, his rate of scoring a goal once every 108 minutes is only followed by Thierry Henry, who has the record of scoring one every 122 minutes. Aguero is capable of scoring goals of all types and from all ranges.
