    Rajasthan United continued their fantastic performance in the group B matches at the 2022 Durand Cup. They put forth an impressive show to force Emami East Bengal to a draw, having defeated ATK Mohun Bagan 3-2 with an overwhelming performance.

    Emami East Bengal made four changes from their previous clash against the Indian Navy as Tuhin Das, Alex Lima, Charalambos Kyriakou, and Jerry Lalrinzuala walked onto the field. At the same time, Brazillian midfielder Sergio Barboza Jr added strength to the lineup of Rajasthan United.

    Emami East Bengal started the first half aggressively as Sumeet Passi and Suhair got close to opening the scoring several times. The Red and Gold brigade had to make a force substitute when Ankit suffered an injury.

    Aniket Jadhav sent a fantastic cross to Amarjit Kiyam in the Rajasthan Unite penalty area. Still, the 21-year-old Manipur native missed the golden opportunity to gain a lead for Emami East Bengal.

    Suhair charged toward the goal and entered a 1vs1 situation against Rajasthan's goalkeeper. However, his on-target shot was saved by Niraj in a moment of goalkeeping brilliance. He got another opportunity to score in the ending moments of the first half but failed to convert.

    Emami East Bengal continued with the attacking momentum in the match's second half, with Rajasthan United also getting a few opportunities to score.

    Aniket Jadhav dribbled past three defenders and lifted an excellent cross to Jerry, who failed to find the back of the net with his header.

    Rajasthan United won a penalty corner in the 61st minute when Lalremsanga tripped on substitute Souvik Chakraborty's tackle. Sergio Barboza took the shot, but Kamaljit made a comfortable save.

    Rajasthan United went into attack mode in the 75th minute after two fresh substitutes, Chanso and Maritn Chaves were brought onto the field. However, the defensive line of Emami East Bengal held firm to hold off the score at 0-0.

    Rajasthan United will next face Mumbai City FC on August 29, while Emami East Bengal FC will lock horns with rivals ATK Mohun Bagan on August 28.
