    Carlos Santamarina led Jamshedpur FC started strong and got an opportunity to open the scoring in the 20th minute. However, the shot by Ruatmawia was parried away by FC Goa goalkeeper Hrithik Tiwari.

    The Red Miners got another golden chance to gain the lead five minutes left into the first half. Keisan Angelo Singh fired a powerful long-distance shot but failed to convert. 

    The first half ended without any goals as Jamshedpur FC failed to score despite their dominance on the field.

    Jamshedpur FC kept on building pressure on the defensive line of FC Goa in the second half and got another opportunity to break the deadlock when they earned a penalty in the 75th minute.

    Vinil Poojary took the shot but failed to convert as FC Goa keeper Hrithik Tiwari denied him the goal in a moment of goalkeeping brilliance.

    FC Goa launched a counterattack just minutes later. Phrangki Buam charged toward the goal, but his shot went directly to the goalkeeper.

    Jamshedpur FC finally broke the deadlock in the 84th minute when Tapan Halder slotted the ball into the net with a well-composed shot.

    FC Goa began frantically hunting for an equaliser in the ending moments of the second half, but Jamshedpur FC held firm to keep their narrow lead until the final whistle rang.

    It was the first victory of Jamshedpur FC at the 2022 Duran Cup. They now stand in fourth place on the Group A chart with three points from three matches.

    Jamshedpur FC will lock horns with Indian Air Force in their final group stage match on September 1, while FC Goa will face Bengaluru FC on August 30.
