Champions League: Manchester City VS FC Copenhagen preview: Head-to-head, probable lineup, prediction

After defeating Manchester United in this weekend's derby, Pep Guardiola's squad is on a roll and currently leads Group G owing to their triumph over Borussia Dortmund last time out.

Erling Haaland's outstanding goal-scoring has enabled Manchester City to decimate their opponents. Before defeating Borussia Dortmund in Group G, they recorded a convincing victory against Sevilla.

Copenhagen fell to Dortmund but held Sevilla to a scoreless draw to earn one point from their first two matches.

When they face the defending Premier League winners Manchester City in 2022-23, they will face the most significant test of the season.

Manchester City defeated Copenhagen in the UEFA Cup in 2008-09, and they should be able to repeat that performance without difficulty.

Mamoudou Karamoko will also miss the match against Manchester City. Summer acquisition Andreas Cornelius will likely start in the final third.

Last time out, Copenhagen held Sevilla to a draw, but they will undoubtedly struggle against a rampant City side, especially if Haaland remains in Guardiola's team.

FC Copenhagen seemed to have no chance of defeating the reigning English champions. Erling Haaland and his teammates might be a lethal combination for the opposing team.
