Bundesliga: Konrad Laimer confirms RB Leipzig exit ahead of expected move to Bayern Munich
Konrad Laimer has announced he will leave RB Leipzig.
Following Saturday's victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB-Pokal final, Konrad Laimer confirmed that it was his final game in a RB Leipzig shirt.
Laimer's departure from RB Leipzig has been widely anticipated for months, with the Austrian international expected to join Bayern on a free transfer.
"I was in Leipzig for six years and my contract is now expiring," Laimer stated after the 2-0 win in the cup final.
"I had a really good time with two titles. In any case, a nice ending."
<br>The official announcement of the move is the only remaining formality.
Having joined RB Leipzig from Salzburg six years ago for a fee of €7 million, the 26-year-old midfielder has now concluded his successful tenure at the club.
Laimer made 190 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, scoring 15 goals and providing 19 assists.
