Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich to play in Japan during summer pre-season tour
Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions, have announced their intention to tour Japan as part of their pre-season preparations.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich will embark on a pre-season tour of Japan as part of their Audi Summer Tour.
The tour will run from 24 July to 3 August and will include a friendly match against Kawasaki Frontale at the National Stadium in Tokyo on 29 July.
The team's second warm-up game is scheduled to take place on 26 July at the same venue, with details to be announced later, along with a third friendly match and the second destination of the tour.
The tour is being organised in collaboration with SPTV, the Bundesliga's Japanese media partner, and the DFL (Deutsche Fußball Liga). Bayern's CEO Oliver Kahn, said, "FC Bayern is always conscious of its roots in Bavaria and Munich, and it's part of the club's tradition that we repeatedly prepare for the new season at Tegernsee.
"At the same time, we want to regularly offer our fans around the world the opportunity to see our players live. We're looking forward to this year's Audi Summer Tour in Asia."
Andreas Jung, Bayern board member for marketing, added, "FC Bayern has a huge fan community in Asia, which is constantly growing. We want to drive forward the great enthusiasm for our sport in the region and excite the people there with our team."
Bayern's tour of Japan demonstrates the club's commitment to excellence both on and off the field.
