Bayern Munich table improved offer for Tottenham striker Harry Kane
Bayern Munich have increased their offer for Tottenham star Harry Kane.

Bayern Munich have reportedly made an enhanced bid of £70m plus add-ons in their pursuit of Harry Kane, hoping it will be enough to tempt the striker away from Tottenham.

Spurs had previously rejected Bayern's initial offer of £60m plus add-ons for Kane, considering it too low for a player they value at a minimum of £100m.

Despite Kane's contract expiring next summer and his reluctance to sign an extension, Tottenham risk losing their all-time leading goalscorer on a free transfer.

Positive discussions have taken place between Kane and Bayern, who remain eager to secure the services of the 29-year-old England captain.

Manchester United had also been linked with Kane earlier in the summer but abandoned their pursuit due to the unrealistic financial demands associated with prying him away from north London.

Daniel Levy, Tottenham's chairman, is expected to maintain his stance of demanding a minimum of £100m for Kane.

However, Bayern hopes their improved offer, coupled with the player's desire to join them, may soften Levy's position.

They await an official response from Spurs, who have presented Kane with an improved contract to significantly enhance his current £200,000-a-week terms.

If the response is negative once again, Bayern may submit a third bid in the near future.
