Juventus reported that the centre-back's acquisition cost was €67 million ($68.55 million), with the possibility of an additional €10 million in performance-related bonuses.

The international player from the Netherlands arrived in Munich on Monday and finished his club physical on Tuesday. Matthijs De Ligt is anticipated to accompany his new colleagues on their American preseason trip.

To join Julian Nagelsmann's squad at Allianz Arena, the Dutchman ends a three-year stay in Italy. He will now integrate with the team in time for their 2022–23 season launch next month.

Matthijs De Ligt first Bayern Munich signing since Lewandowski

Since star striker Robert Lewandowski departed the team to join Barcelona, Bayern Munich has made just one addition.

After losing Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger at Stamford Bridge this summer, Chelsea was also interested in signing De Ligt. However, they eventually gave up when it became apparent that De Ligt preferred to sign with Bayern Munich.

The Netherlands international was also heavily linked to Paris Saint-Germain, but he will now continue to grow with the German champions.

The Dutch defender joined Juventus in 2019 after leaving Ajax, where he played 117 times.

In the 2019–20 season and the next one, De Ligt assisted Juventus in winning the Italian Cup.

Juventus, though, has struggled at home over the past two seasons, finishing fourth in the table and losing their title hopes.

Who else has Bayern Munich signed?

This summer, the significant additions to Bayern Munich include De Ligt, 22, Sadio Mane, and former Ajax players Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui.

However, leading scorer Robert Lewandowski left the Bundesliga's heavyweights for Barcelona, and it has been said that they will look for a successor before the market closes.

Harry Kane of Tottenham and Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United have both been mentioned as possible targets, but Bayern Munich has openly distanced itself from the pair. They have also reportedly expressed interest in Victor Osimhen of Napoli.

Teenager Mathys Tel from Rennes is one striker they are unquestionably interested in. Still, the French club has already rejected three proposals from Bayern Munich, and a transfer cost of about €25 million (£21 million/$25 million) will probably be necessary to complete the deal.

Before the window closes, midfield reinforcements are also necessary, and Nagelsmann is eager to sign Konrad Laimer, who he previously coached at RB Leipzig.

    Juventus sign De Ligt replacement

To sign Torino defenseman Bremer, Massimiliano Allegri's team defeated Inter's competition.

To replace Matthijs De Ligt, who is moving to Bayern Munich, Juventus is planning to pay up to €47 million (£40 million/$48 million) to recruit the Brazilian centre-back.

It has been reported that Bianconeri has won the fight to sign the Brazil international. The Brazilian international had been linked with a move to Juve's Serie A rivals Inter.

The 25-year-old centre defender will cost Massimiliano Allegri's team €42 million (£36 million/$43 million). Add-ons of up to €5m (£4m/$5m) may be given to Torino, who has agreed to a contract that will pay him about €5 million a season.

Bremer will replace De Ligt in the centre of the Serie A team's defence, and Bayern is expected to pay roughly €80 million (£68 million) to acquire the Netherlands international this summer.

Juventus was considering several players to replace De Ligt in the lineup, including Pau Torres of Villarreal, Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina, and Arsenal defender Gabriel.

Bremer, the previous season's Serie A Player of the Year, seemed to be one of the more challenging targets for Juventus to sign because Liverpool and Inter both were ready to make offers for him earlier this year.

Bremer transferred from Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro to Torino in 2018, making 110 appearances across all competitions.
