Approaching the twilight of his career at 32, the French international contemplated life beyond his current contract, set to expire in 2026.

Griezmann expressed a desire for continuity, in a post-match interview with TNT Sports Brasil, stating, "I want this to be my last club in Europe, and then to enjoy elsewhere." Intriguingly, this suggested a potential venture beyond European shores as he mused about the next chapter in his illustrious career.

However, Griezmann swiftly emphasized his fondness for the Rojiblancos, revealing a preference to extend his stay, saying, "I want to continue here. I'm at the level that my team needs of me. I'm playing well. Let's see if there's a chance to continue on, but of course, there are lots of other players here, so we'll see."

The dynamics of his future trajectory seem to hinge on Atletico's decision regarding his tenure post-2026, when the forward will be 35 years old. The question remains whether the club sees Griezmann as a vital part of their future or if an international shift beckons for the former World Cup winner.

What's certain is that, regardless of the path chosen, Griezmann will bid adieu to European football wearing the Atleti colours. As he contemplates the twilight of his European journey, the football world eagerly awaits the unfolding chapters of Griezmann's global football odyssey.
