Ansu Fati's potential return to Barcelona next summer is facing uncertainty due to financial constraints, with the club reportedly open to offers exceeding €30million.
The 21-year-old, currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, is determined to reignite his career at Camp Nou but might face challenges securing a spot in the starting line-up.
Fati's loan move to Brighton saw him feature in 13 games this season, showcasing his prowess with four goals and one assist. Despite the La Liga champions holding his contract until June 2027, SPORT suggests that the player is eager to make a comeback at Barcelona, hoping for a more prominent role next season.
However, the SPORT report indicates that Barcelona's financial woes may force them to seriously consider substantial offers for the young forward. Fati, who has already made 112 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 29 goals and providing 10 assists, has faced setbacks in his career due to injuries.
The Spanish international rose to prominence in 2019 but encountered a series of setbacks, including a serious knee injury that sidelined him for 47 games between November 2020 and September 2021. Two subsequent hamstring problems further disrupted his progress.
Earlier this year, Fati's father expressed concern about his son's situation at Camp Nou, urging him to consider leaving Barcelona. Despite these challenges, Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, remains optimistic about Fati's future with the club.
Deco stated to RAC1, "Ansu can come back, of course. He's very young and he's happy now. He asked to go out on loan looking for minutes and decided on Brighton, and I think he did well. The future depends on him. He can return to Barca, there is no doubt."
Fati's current loan spell at Brighton has seen him score twice in eight Premier League appearances and contribute two goals and one assist in four Europa League outings. His performance is being closely monitored, and with Barcelona's financial situation in the balance, the young forward's return to Camp Nou remains uncertain.
As the football world watches Fati's journey, the looming financial considerations add an intriguing layer to his potential reunion with Barcelona.
