Andre Onana to Manchester United is 'a matter of time' as Inter chase Bayern Munich replacement

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed there are no 'serious' issues when it comes to Andre Onana's proposed move to Manchester United. </p>

Following the departure of Spaniard David de Gea, the Red Devils have stepped up their efforts to recruit a suitable replacement. </p>

<p>

Inter Milan shot-stopper Onana has been on Erik ten Hag's radar for some time and according to Romano, the deal is 'just a matter of time'. </p>

<p>

The report confirmed that United have 'almost' agreed the add-ons structure on what will be a £43million deal plus bonuses. </p>

The Cameroon international made 41 appearances for the San Siro outfit, winning Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana titles during his sole season at the club. </p>

Before his spell in Italy, the 26-year-old spent six years at Ajax where he made 214 appearances and won three Eredivisie crowns. </p>

Once Onana completes his move to the Premier League, Inter Milan will be targeting their own replacement. </p>

Romano believes Bayern Munich goalie Yann Sommer will be the man to take Onana's spot at the San Siro. </p>

The Swiss international is close to agreement on personal terms, contract and salary with Inter. </p>

<p>

The Champions League finalists will also have to negotiate with Bayern over a transfer fee. </p>

<p>

With Manuel Neuer breaking his leg whilst skiing during the winter break, Sommer was able to make 19 appearances last season. </p>

The 34-year-old lifted the Bundesliga title as Bayern won the league on the final day of the season. </p>
