Valorant: Cloud9 clean sweep top four NA teams
The Cloud9 team have defeated all four top NA teams in the VCT Americas season.
They beat Evil Geniuses, 100 Thieves, NRG, and Sentinels. This achievement not only solidifies their dominance in North America, but also puts them in a strong position to secure a spot in the playoffs.
The team only lost one map to NRG, and sealed their accomplishment with a convincing win over Sentinels.
In their match against Sentinels, Cloud9 showed their dominance early on, with a 9-3 lead at halftime and back-to-back clutch defuses.
Despite Sentinels winning the pistol round in the second half, Cloud9 secured map point and eventually won the match 13-4.
On their own pick of Fracture, Cloud9 continued their dominance with an 11-1 defensive half and ultimately won the series 13-6 with a barrage of ultimates.
With a record of 5-1 and two of their remaining opponents being KRÜ and MIBR, both currently ranked in the bottom three of VCT Americas, Cloud9 is poised to secure a playoff spot unless they suffer an unlikely collapse in the final three weeks.
