Swedish in-game leader hampus joins Singapore outfit Bleed
Bleed Esports have announced the signing of veteran in-game leader (IGL) hampus, who will lead their CS2 team in 2024.
This confirms that the Singapore outfit is looking to make a serious splash on the CS2 scene in the coming year, having already secured the services of Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunovic in November.
The Serbian was tasked with building a competitive roster for Bleed's CS2 project and looks to be doing just that after acquiring hampus, who played for Ninjas in Pyjamas as their IGL for the majority of his time at the organization between 2020 and 2023.
Hampus' experience comes in CS:GO, however, and he has never played a professional game of CS2, which could mean he will need some time to acclimatise to the different environment.
Still, the feeling is that hampus is a solid addition to the team and will do a good job for the new outfit.
Bleed has already established a foothold in esports such as VALORANT, Dota 2, and Rainbow Six Siege, but their CS2 project is their first attempt to venture out of the Asian scene with a fully international roster.
