Penta Sports partners with FEAI
Gaming and esports company, Penta Esports wants to popularise esports across the country.
Their latest decision to partner with the Federation of Electronic Sports Associations India (FEAI) is a direct attempt at promoting grassroots esports in India.
Founded by Anurag Khurana, Kiran Noojibail and Akshay Paul, Penta Esports wants to initiate a change in India's ecosystem and they might have found an effective method to do so. Likewise, it is no joke that the company is now India's leading esports gaming platform which hosts the biggest esports leagues and tournaments in the country.
What the partnership has to offer
By adopting a holistic approach towards esports that covers leagues, tournaments, and other content, FEAI caters to the new-age crowd.
Furthermore, it is backed up by strong policies established through the Government of India, to provide legal relevance to esports and similar industries.
Through FEAI, we're looking at possible state-wise development of the sector in India and Penta Esports might offer a structured development regime in that regard.
With this partnership, Penta Esports along with FEAI will reach out to different parts of India through tournaments, campaigns, leagues, and initiatives stressing the upside of being a professional esports person. Colleges and universities will be approached in order to increase the value of esports as a potential career option.
The basis of the partnership
According to the founder and CEO of Penta Esports Anurag Khurana, "A big area of focus at Penta Esports has always been grassroots esports and our vision to usher growth in this space is aligned with FEAI.
"This collaboration will provide an impetus to our efforts and we can reach out to more aspiring esports athletes by leveraging FEAI and its strong associations across the country."
Meanwhile, Vaibhav Dange, founding director & member of FEAI said, "As the apex national body for esports in India, we seek to facilitate a policy-centred esports outlook that aims to address a strong talent development ecosystem that covers the spectrum of talent, businesses, job creation, education, and revenue generation for India with regional centres of excellence.
"The overall ecosystem has to be strengthened for it and we are excited about the potential of our association with Penta Esports in rapidly accelerating the growth of esports across the country."
How practical is their vision?
As FEAI’s attempts to make esports accessible across every Indian state, Penta Esports will set the plan in motion to promote accelerated growth of esports in India.
FEAI, the apex national body for esports in India, is interested in devising policies for esports centred around a strong talent development ecosystem.
It would accommodate different areas of talent, businesses, education, job creation, and revenue generation for India with regional spots increasing their outreach.
Over the years, the world has witnessed a stark increase in esports viewing which is expected to grow to 29.6 million in 2022. As compared to 2021, it amounts to an 11.5% increase. Esports revenue and investment are growing rapidly due to pop culture's unmitigated interest in the industry.
So, we might be looking at a revolutionary partnership between the two sides.
