Nightfall: Dota 2 pro scene lacking offlaners
Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko of BetBoom believes there is a lack of top-quality offlaners in the competitive Dota 2 scene at the moment.
Dota 2 is struggling for offlanersNightfall revealed that BetBoom considered using him in the carry role, but when they looked at the free agent options at offlane it was decided that he would add more value at number 3.
"Of course, we cycled through different options, including the one where I would carry," Nightfall told Escorenews.
"But, to be honest, when we were building the roster, I more or less realised that we would do better with me as position 3.
"Because there are no good offlaners either in EEU or the rest of the world. But I can be one of them, so to speak.
"It's easier to get a tier-1 carry rather than searching for a position 3 player from scratch. At the assembling phase, it became clear that I must be the offlaner to make out team stronger."
