The game has not been named yet, but the Rockstar Games team is willing to set creative benchmarks for the series, the industry, and all entertainment.

It will be similar to what the label has done with its frontline releases. The game's development was progressing in February, as confirmed by Rockstar.

The company had intended to share updates whenever they were ready, but they never released official details, unlike what was promised. Ever since the announcement, there hasn't been any update.

What do we currently know about GTA 6?

Bloomberg has claimed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will unfold in an area based on Miami and may include a female playable character. Reports told Bloomberg that the game would at least take two years to materialize.

The changes within Rockstar could be contributing to the delay. Industry insider Tom Henderson stated that the upcoming edition would release in either 2024 or 2025.

The late release is attributed to Rockstar's new focus on employee wellbeing after it was criticized for its alleged crunch culture. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier and VGC's sources have also reiterated his claims.

In early 2022, a Rockstar insider who had leaked legitimate information about the company's games in the past claimed remasters of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption were topics to be discussed but are no longer planned.

Kotaku backed up the claims and mentioned more sources aware of Rockstar's plans. The studio has paused the remasters to focus on GTA 6 entirely.

The latest GTA report verifies past leaks

The latest GTA 6 report has confirmed several past rumours and updates about the next Grand Theft Auto game. The first was reported in 2018, while another was made earlier this year.

The first leak from 2018 revealed the game's settings, codename, and initial plans to feature a variety of locations. The most recent leak talked about a male-female protagonist duo.

Matheus Victor and Tom Henderson are reportedly the first sources to have spoken about the addition of a female character.

A while ago, a report from a reliable source released more updates on Grand Theft Auto 6. The game will center around two protagonists, one of whom will be a woman.

A fictional version of Miami will be featured in the latest edition. The report generated other exciting details, such as the title, which was expected to be much longer alongside a new update allowing players to travel between various cities in North and South America.

However, the latter was ultimately discarded because the update involving the inclusion of different cities would be tough to execute. The company is functional under the codename "Project Americas" for the latest project.
