From The International to the eSports' debut in the Asian Games as a medal event this year, many eSports events are lined up in 2022 that all fans are super excited for. Though many of these are yet to be formally announced, here is a list of the 10 most anticipated eSports this year
LCS Championship 2022
Another one of the prestigious League of Legends tournament is the LCS Championship. This championship is restricted to the areas of the U.S. and Canada. The winners of the title will play the world championship representing North America. After taking place in 2016, this championship is finally returning in 2022 building up excitement among the fans.
VCT Champions Series
The first Valorant tournament took place in 2021, holding Ascent as the first ever Valorant winner. The VCT series have been launched by Riot Games this year increasing the fans' anticipation manifolds.
Rocket League Worlds Championship
This prestigious eSports championship is scheduled for the month of July this year with a huge price pool of $6,000,000. The seasonal games are spread over the year through spring, fall and winter, and these seasonal games further lead up to the regional events, ultimately concluding with the major events, deciding the winners. League of Legends World Championship
The biggest League of Legends tournament, the League of Legends World Championship is scheduled to take place sometime in the autumn season. Taking place for the 12th time, LoL is scheduled to take place in Mexico City, Toronto, New York City, and San Francisco. 12 teams out of the 24 teams from the Riot Games are to compete for the title.

With the recent entry of online chess tournaments in the world of eSports, it is pertinent that these chess tournaments are also counted in the list of the most anticipated eSports this year.
eSports events in Asian Games
One of the most anticipated events of 2022 is the new entry of eSports in the Asian Games. The games are scheduled in September this year and are to feature eight of the best eSports as medal events: Asian Games version of PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor, League of Legends, Dota 2, Hearthstone and Street Fighter V, Dream Three Kingdoms 2, FIFA and PUBG Mobile.
The International 11
The International is hands down the biggest eSports event for all DOTA 2 fans. Though the event was cancelled in 2020, it took place in 2021 and there's great anticipation for it to be back in 2022 as well. Though the formal announcement has not been made yet, fans are eagerly waiting for the tournament this year.
FIFA World Cup
Organised by FIFA and Electronic Arts, this international tournament is hosted in various countries every year. Those who clear the online qualifier rounds get the opportunity to compete for this prestigious title.
