Dota 2: OG qualify for Berlin Major
OG's Dota 2 team secured a last-minute spot at the Berlin Major after a challenging Dota Pro Circuit season which ended with a stunning last-minute comeback.
Despite remaining in the relegation zone for most of the season, OG managed to turn things around in the final two days.
OG's remarkable journey started with a crucial victory against Entity, leading to a tiebreaker against Ooredoo Thunders (OT) for fourth place. In a thrilling series, OG defeated OT 2-1, concluding the second tour on a high note.
Had Entity won against OG, OT would have finished fourth, and OG would have been relegated to the second division. OT was just one step short of glory, and the unexpected turn of events compelled them to determine their own fate.
OG has a long history of Cinderella stories, including winning the International in 2018 after going through the Open Qualifiers. The current roster still has much to do to compensate for the mediocre season, but their impressive run added one more page to OG's history filled with comeback stories.
During April Fools', OG was the centre of attention, with news claiming Old G would replace OG. As the news reached the top page of the Dota 2 subreddit, fans began to have doubts, which may have fueled OG's desire to survive.
