Apex Legends "force reload" hack to be mended this week
A fix for a "force reload" hack in Apex Legends will go live later this week, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed.
The hack forces opponents to reload as soon as they receive damage, while the cheaters get grenades that explode instantly - a combination which prevents opponents from doing anything in a fight.
"I've experienced that and I would've never thought to blame cheaters for it," one player wrote in a Reddit thread.
Some players described the hack as worse than aimbots and wallhacks because it's impossible to outplay.
Respawn Entertainment security analyst Conor Ford has assured that a fix will go live this week.
