The tail waged, and Pakistan Attack looked toothless and had no plan, allowing Henry and Patel to keep piling runs.
The session got off to a promising start with Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq, and the Pakistani captain appeared to be in fine form when a misunderstanding with Imam cost him his wicket. However, Imam and Saud Shakeel ensured that New Zealand didn't get any more wickets. Imam used cuts and drives to go to 74, while Shakeel acted as a barrier, needing 43 deliveries to get going.
Pakistan lost the wickets of Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood and Babar Azam.
