Shreyas Iyer captain of KKR and Fan Boy of SRK

Much like most fans across the world, Shreyas is also a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders and he is quite eager to meet him. In a press conference, Shreyas Iyer displayed a ‘fanboy’ moment for the Bollywood super-star and he says he will go insane if he comes face to face with Shah Rukh Khan.

In a press conference held last Saturday, Shreyas said that he did not get an opportunity to meet Shah Rukh yet since he is busy with his movie shoot and promotions. However, Shreyas is looking forward to meeting Shah Rukh during this season and he claims that this will be one of the motivating factors for him. He further mentions that whenever he gets free time, he spends time watching interviews of Shah Rukh Khan and admires him for the spark and robust energy he brings to the industry. 

Shreyas further added that when Shah Rukh comes to the stadium the atmosphere changes completely. The cheer and support he offers to the team of Kolkata Knight Riders, energies the entire ambiance of the squad and the stadium alike. Shreyas says that he is just counting on time to finally come to meet his idol and once he meets him he will go insane. 

Like most of the people who grew up watching Bollywood movies, Shreyas Iyer is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan. Shreyas Iyer, the newly added team member, is praised for his keen sense of the sport and his vision on the field. Reportedly, Shreyas is well acclaimed and respected in the Kolkata Knight Riders’ squad and they are hopeful to perform well under his captaincy. Shreyas will begin his captaincy for Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match against Chennai Super Kings on March 26th. He displayed his strength as an international cricketer. Recently, in the home series against Sri Lanka, Shreyas scored three half-centuries claiming his well-deserved man of the series. He also became the first Indian player to score two fifties in the longest format for day and night cricket. Shreyas displayed his efficiency in the crease as a player for the Delhi Capitals where he played for 7 straight years. He was the first captain for the Delhi Capitals to bring them up to the finals in IPL 2020. Shreyas Iyer, bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for 12.25 crore rupees is expected to mimic his stellar performance for the team as well in this 15th season of IPL. 

Shreyas Iyer is a budding and promising cricketer for the Indian cricket team and most certainly, it will be a delight for the fans to witness the 'fanboy' moment between Shreyas and Superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
