Shreyas Iyer and Amelia Kerr named as ICC player's of the Month
Indian Batsman Shreyas Iyer has been voted the ICC ‘Men’s Player of the Month’ for February.
In the women’s category, the honor went to New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr. The results were announced by ICC on March 14, 2022.

In the T20I series against Sri Lanka, Shreyas Iyer was named the Player of the Series due to his impressive performance. He scored 204 runs with a strike rate of 174.36 in just three innings, without getting dismissed even once.
He also registered 20 fours and seven sixes across all three matches and knocked out 57*(28), 74*(44) and 73*(45). His good form has continued.
The hard-hitting 27-year-old scored 92 runs in the first innings and 67 in the second innings of the match.
He was named the man of the match in the second test against Sri Lanka held from March 12 to March 14. C
Former Sri Lankan cricketer Russel Arnold commented on Iyer’s performance and said, “Throughout the month, Shreyas showed tremendous consistency and control,”The upcoming star who is still struggling towards attaining a regular position in the Indian lineup showed great composure and consistency during both series. Over the last month, Shreyas Iyer scored runs on all formats while dominating opposition bowlers.
Amelia Kerr
Amelia Kerr was named the player of the month for February in the women’s category owing to her recent consistency with both bat and the ball. She was selected ahead of fellow nominees Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma and the Indian captain Mithali Raj.
She finished as the top run scorer in a five-match ODI series against India last month. She bagged seven wickets and scored 353 runs with an impressive average of 117.6. She was named the Player of the Match in the second and fourth matches of the series.
A voting panel member, former Irish cricketer Isobel Joyce said, “She’s been a world-class leg spinner for a number of years, but now her batting adds even more value to her spot in the team and makes her one of the best cricketers in the world.”
