He's one of such openers who enjoys batting without thinking much about milestones. But with his 88 run knocks, Dhawan achieved a few milestones. He became the only second batter after Virat Kohli to complete 6000 runs in IPL. Apart from that, Dhawan became the first batter to complete a milestone of 1000 runs against Chennai Super Kings. He is the only batter to achieve this feat against defending champions CSK and the third in history to do so against a single team. In the form he is carrying, he will make many such records in no time.

Harshal Patel-Riyal Parang exchange of heat in RCB vs RR clash

Harshal Patel and Riyan Parag had a moment of heat exchange between the two in a clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. It all looked to have started in the final over of the first innings, being bowled by Harshal Patel. The 20-year-old batter Riyan Parag dominated the over to smash the bowler for six, and a spat started between the two. A RR member had to intervene to stop the matter from escalating. In addition, The right-arm pacer did not shake hands with Riyan Parag. The cold gesture came against sportsmanship behaviour, and Twitter soon flooded with views against the bowler.

One of the fans tweeted against Harshal Patel, "One Young Talent Jealous Of Other. Very #Unsportive Behaviour From Harshal Patel. Keep Going Riyan Parag @rajasthanroyals @RCBTweets @IPL”

While some tweeted in favour of the bowler, "#IPL2022 #RCBvsRR I think this Riyan Parag should stop this overaction for one match what is that overaction after hitting the six that to staring at harshal what he is problem first of all maintain some discipline and behavior Mr.Parag anyways good knock but with bad attitude."

Riyan Parag: stealing the win in his style for RR.

While Rajasthan Royals' top-order failed terribly to Royal Challengers Bangalore's bowlers, Riyan Parag played a crucial knock to fetch 56 off 31 balls to help post a total of 144. The bowlers did the rest to seal the game in style by defending the season's lowest total. All the criticism that came in the way of the young fellow got answered by his remarkable performance. He took four crucial catches to dismiss the RCB bat, apart from his knock with batters.

Aakash Chopra, on his channel, said, "But what did the guy do? He scored a fifty and on a day when no one was firing with the bat. Jos Buttler got out, Devdutt Padikkal was also dismissed. Sanju Samson - what is this stubbornness that he will definitely get out to Wanindu Hasaranga. There Riyan Parag I thought was absolutely brilliant because, without him, this job was not going to be done."

"Then he took three or four catches as well. Whenever the ball was going up in the air, he was standing under that. This thing taught us that life and sports give you another chance. This was another chance for Riyan and he made the best use of it." he further added.

'It felt like a betrayal': Harshal Patel reveals

The 31-year-old pacer, in an interview with Gaurav Kapur, revealed how several franchises had betrayed him in the early career days of IPL. He confessed to being betrayed by three or four franchises.

"There were three-four people from different franchises who said we'd be going to bid for you, but no one did. At that time, it felt like a betrayal", the pacer said. "I just wanted someone to raise the paddle for me. It's not about the money; I just wanted to play," he added.

The pacer then debuted in 2012 with RCB but couldn't make much impact. After being traded to Delhi Capitals in 2018 and retained in 2020, the bowler didn't get much game to play. He rose to the limelight in 2021 while playing for RCB. He grabbed his hands on the Purple Cap by scalping 32 wickets in that season. The franchise for the 2022 edition then retained the player.
