IPL 2022: Players with the best batting strike rate
The key to batting in the T20 format is to keep the batting strike rate high throughout the game.
If a batter performs with a high strike rate, the player can quickly help keep fortunes favouring his team. There are very few batters who can play consistently with a strike rate of 150-plus. With the league stage almost reaching an end, let's have a look at the players who have consistently played with a strike rate of 150 and above in at least ten innings played this IPL season:
- Dinesh Karthik (192.56)
In the absence of RCB's most valuable asset, AB de Villiers, Karthik's defiant heroics were the most talked-about aspect in the first half of the season. He has scored 285 runs in thirteen matches with an incredible average of 57.00 and an astonishing strike rate of 192.56. With 22 boundaries and 21 sixes smashed this season, he stands first on the list. Karthik has helped RCB finish games with sheer consistency and steadied their sinking ship many times this season. His sense of cricket and ability to be calm in critical situations make Dinesh Karthik different from other batters.
- Liam Livingstone (177.98)

The all-rounder played many crucial knocks for the team and single-handedly took them towards the winning line. He has scored 388 runs in thirteen innings, carrying a strike rate of 177.98 and an average of 32.33 runs. The most memorable inning of him in this IPL would be playing Mohammed Shami for 28 runs in an over, which includes the longest six (117 meters) of this season. He has, till now, hit 27 fours and 29 sixes in this tournament, giving a hard time to bowlers.
- Sunil Narine (177.50)
The Caribbean all-rounder Sunil Narine boasted the third-best strike rate in the ongoing season of IPL. The mystery spinner, combined with his power-hitting capabilities, has scored 71 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 177.50. Though the number of runs fetched is not huge, his contribution to the franchise has been phenomenal. His strike rate stands at 174.47 in the matches, making him one of the most valuable strikers for Kolkata Knight Riders. He has smashed 18 fours and 32 maximums. These numbers speak volumes about his ability to hit balls for a boundary or six, helping his team win many matches or giving a tough competition to opponent bowlers in the losing ones.
- Glenn Maxwell (166.42)
