Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube stabilized the innings by contributing 35 and 49 runs . Lucknow Super Giants
K.L Rahul played a captain's knock and played a steady knock of 40 runs with 2 four’s and 3 six’s ably assisted by Quinton de Knock who blasted 61 runs only of 45 balls with 9 amazing boundaries. Opening stand of 99 runs built the foundation for chasing the big score Chennai Super Kings made. Evin Lewis played a typical West Indies flair and slogged Chennai Super Kings bowlers all over the ground with 6 four and 3 six’s and making 55 runs from 23 balls only. Credit goes to young Ayush Badoni to hold his nerve and made a match winning 19 of only 9 balls with two huge six.
Man of the Match : Evin Lewis
A left-handed batsman from Trinidad loves hitting Big Sixes and considers Chris Gayle as his mentor. Like Gayle, Lewis best has come in the T20 circuit or limited-overs format. Yesterday at Mumbai, he showcased a brilliant batting performance to take Luknow Super Giants to a thrilling win.
Game Changer : KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock provided a perfect launch pad and Evin Lewis with the late flourish.
Gautam Gambhir, Lucknow Super Giants Mentor: "(Role) A lot to do with strategy, a lot to do with helping people in private sessions and more importantly, a lot to get results in our favour as well. Ultimately, it's all about results. Yes, we did play really well from the situation we were in.
Harsha Bhogle’s Tweet for Ayush Badoni:
“Badoni! Wow, such composure. What a find. Such a slim, little young man hitting it far...”
