India won their last ODI by 227 runs against Bangladesh in December. Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by four wickets in their previous match in the format in late November.
Sri Lanka will field many of the same players as they did in the IT20 final on Saturday and will have to play much higher in this match. However, they will play their cricket with a fearless attitude, regardless of the opposition.

India Players to watch
- Suryakumar Yadav - The batting hero of IT20 cricket in 2022, and the series' final game on Saturday, is yet to prove his worth in this format. The top-order batter is in for a big game.
- Yuzvendra Chahal - The leg-spinner has 118 ODI wickets with a best of 6-42. On this surface, he will obtain a turn and bounce.
New Zealand Players to watch
